Surface samples are commonly collected with a sterile swab or adhesive film.

Options for DNA testing utilizing ERMI, HERTSMI-2, or EMMA are available. These tests are commonly requested by a physician and can be used to identify mycotoxins or used as a screening tool during home purchases. These tests involve collecting household dust and analyzing the sample using the QCPR process.
